Supervise and participate in the preparation, presentation and cleanup for cooking classes and Birthday Parties. For Dinner Club and Sunday Brunch events, the Kitchen Manager  will be part of the team that plans the menu and prepares it offering unique presentation, in a Chef Table environment. Both events will host parties of up to 20 adults and 20 kids.
Other duties in the operation of a commercial kitchen as assigned.
Job Duties: 1- Cooking Classes Preparation and presentation: 50%
Washing, cutting, chopping, measuring ingredients and setting the cooking stations, assisting with the presentation of the class, assisting with clean up.
2- Sunday Brunches Cooking: 20% Processing ingredients, cooking a preselected menu and plate up. Clean up and kitchen closing procedures.
3- Birthday Parties Preparation 20 % Presetting, measuring ingredients, and assisting the attendees during the cooking portion of the party
4- Dinner Club Cooking 10% Processing, chopping, cooking and plating a preselected menu, interaction with dinner attendees, clean and kitchen procedures. Job Environment: Commercial kitchen with hot and cold equipment, indoors, with access to some outdoors events, weather permitting.
Knowledge of menu planning, recipe costing and purchasing preferred.
Able to use and operate all pieces of the commercial kitchen equipment, small wares and appliances for food processing and preparation.
Knowledgeable about safety and sanitation techniques.
Able to use Computer and printer to produce copies of recipes if needed, but at a lesser degree.
Impeccable customer service skills since this position will be in direct customer interaction. Minimum Requirements: Basic cooking technique and ingredients processing knowledge.
Required to have a Safety Food Manager Certification.
Highschool degree or equivalent
Ability to interact, work and clearly communicate with young children (6-14 y/o) Ability to follow instructions, and work in a fast-paced environment when needed. Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) Able to lift, push and carry up to 50lbs
Able to pass background check and drug test.
Able to work a flexible schedule, including week ends and night shifts. 17 years of age or older due to the dinner service schedule, and kitchen equipment used.
* Based on Performance and completion of  Catering Events.
* Access to Profit Sharing Structure after 6 months of successful employment.
* 3 months, 6 months performance reviews to better prepare the Candidate for the Yearly Performance review with potential for pay increase.
Chef Coat and apron. Meals during your shift. On site parking and WiFi.
On the Job training as needed for new techniques or updates in Laws and regulations.
Complete and accomplish all assigned tasks. Contribute to the development of new lines of business, the streamline of recipes and purchasing procedures. Planning and organizing of all events for the week, and month ahead. Training of new team members. Other tasks related to the business as assigned.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
